Nondual Therapy
A different way of meeting yourself — and life
Most of us assume our problems mean something is wrong with us — that we are somehow deficient and need fixing. Nondual Therapy starts from a different premise: beneath all the effort to fix, improve or protect yourself, there is already a deeper capacity for ease, presence and wholeness.
“Nondual” points to not two — an exploration of how the felt separation between self and world, between thoughts, feelings and experience, is constructed. This is not spiritual escapism: we don’t use nonduality to bypass pain. Difficult experiences receive compassionate attention while we examine the patterns of resistance and identification that surround them.
Sessions primarily utilise presence, moment-to-moment curiosity and immediacy.
What we might explore
- Who am I, beyond my roles and achievements?
- What happens when an uncomfortable feeling is met directly, without resistance?
- What is the relationship between awareness and thought?
- How do the stories we layer onto experience intensify our suffering?
- What is the nature of the “separate self” we spend so much energy defending?
What can change
- Greater ease with yourself
- Less identification with thought
- Reduced inner conflict
- More acceptance of emotional experience
- Greater freedom in relationships
- Less compulsive striving
- Deeper presence and compassion
